Our customized, interactive scenes play a central role in many of our trainings. In this technique, our trained performance educators portray believable characters in relateble situations, struggling to effectively navigate the pressures and decisions of living and working in a diverse world. When the tensions heighten, the scenes freeze and program participants are invited to interact with, or “hot-seat,” the characters in order to learn more about their thoughts, feelings and motivations. Our experienced facilitators thoughtfully guide participants as they examine behaviors and consequences, uncover assumptions, and identify behaviors that are more constructive, productive and inclusive. In some cases, scenes can be replayed, with opportunities for participants to stop the action in order to suggest and even “try out” alternative problem-solving strategies by role-playing with our actors.

We have a number of established interactive scenes, many of which can be customized or altered to better address the specific goals and needs of your organization. We can also develop new scenes — you choose the topics and the learning targets, and we’ll create an original scripted, interactive scene that revolves around the specific challenges, conflicts, and situations you’d like us to address.
